沈栋（Desmond Shum）出生于上海，在香港长大，他开发了中国最大的航空货运物流设施——北京机场货运站。他还领导了北京宝格丽酒店的发展。此外，从2000年代初开始，他是中国慈善事业的早期先驱，在国内外广泛捐赠。Desmond 拥有美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校金融和会计学士学位，毕业于美国西北大学和香港科技大学联合 EMBA 项目。

DESMOND SHUM, who was born in Shanghai and raised in Hong Kong, developed the largest air cargo logistics facility in China, the Beijing Airport Cargo Terminal. He also led the development of the Bulgari Hotel in Beijing. Desmond holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is a graduate of the joint EMBA program of Northwestern University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
